001: Your Essence as the Creative You

I am so happy to be here with you! Thank you for your "YES" to joining the Radiant Flow community. We are building this community with our hearts fully open and with the most amazing intentions. This is a sacred space for us to share, to exchange, to receive support, and to grow together.

Let me tell you a bit about what I have been up to and a little more about this project. After 10 years of living in cold Montreal, my body felt it couldn't deal with the extreme cold weather anymore. I needed sun, not just for 2 months of a short summer, but for 365 days a year!

Guess what? Not many places in the world have that, and I was divinely guided to move to Costa Rica. I had never been here before, but my heart just knew I had to come. So, in 2021, my family and I made the move.

For years, I've held in my heart the desire to build a supportive community.

You may be asking yourself, what type of support?

I had in my heart to bring together a group that would celebrate the victories of others, and encourage each other to follow their passions.

Or put another way, a community that supports each other in embodying their essence.

And from that intention, Radiant Flow was born.

But what do I mean by essence? Our essence is the divine in us, our true nature.

It is the creative force in action.

It is peaceful and loving.

Why is this so important? I believe that this is why we came to this planet, to embody our essence. To live a fulfilled life expressing our uniqueness out in the world, and even more so, we didn't come to do this alone. And for this reason, community is incredibly important.

You know when you lose track of time having a fun conversation with a friend?

Or while dreaming about possibilities for your life?

That's how you experience your essence. This feeling of losing track of time, being immersed in the moment, this is what I call BE THE FLOW, and that's the inspiration for the name of this newsletter.

So, Radiant Flow is a community of amazing people that get together with the intention to embody their essence through bodywork and movement.

One thing I want to mention that is very important to understand about my work: your body can function in only 2 ways, defense/emergency called sympathetic, or creative/rest/digest mode called parasympathetic.

To live a creative and fulfilled life, you need to be able to regulate your nervous system and navigate between the sympathetic and parasympathetic.

A lot of us, due to the intensity of our lives, get stuck in emergency survival mode.

You might even think it's normal because that is your "daily lived experience." You can do everything, have fun, love, go to work... and while you are functioning, you are definitely not operating at your max potential.

From this place you'll always a sense of lack and a need to feel safe.

This leads to many (if not most) of your actions being driven by fear.

Your essence is the creative you, which is able to be fully expressed when you are in a physiology where you feel safe, and that is parasympathetic.

And guess what?

Yoga is one of the most powerful tools to regulate your nervous system.

If you have a regulated nervous system, you sleep better, you wake up ready for your day, and you experience improved digestion.

You are the one bringing the solution... you experience greater happiness in life, and find yourself open to new possibilities.

Everything just gets better.

This begins within.

Happenings

Breaking Free

I recently released a brand new mini-course, entitled "Breaking Free". You can check it out here.

Taking Action From The Heart

In our Radiant Flow group, we've been talking a lot about essence the past few weeks - what it is, how it feels, what it is to be your essence, right?

My experience shows me that if I'm being my essence, and if I'm bringing this energy into form, it requires courage. It is taking action from my heart.

It involves risk, fear, facing the unknown. It feels uncomfortable.

So if you find yourself experiencing something like that in your life, put a smile on your face.

That's my video message for you.

SRF Convocation

Next week, I'll be on retreat, attending the SRF Convocation. My intention is to use this time to create more connection with my essence, and to delve into Paramahansa Yogananda’s life-transforming teachings and experience the tangible feeling of Divine Presence.

Numerology

For the past few years, I've been receiving messages in the form of numbers. Inspired by this type of communication, I had a numerology reading earlier this year, which led me to want to explore these ideas more deeply. I'm very close to finishing a 3-month course, and excited to begin to weave these teachings into my work.

Who We Are Celebrating This Week: Dani Oxer

I want to take a moment to celebrate my dear long-time friend Dani Oxer who is also a scientist and an amazing writer.

Her first published book is called My friend Vagus and is all about the importance of understanding our nervous system and how we feel when we are in these different physiologies.

And you know what is super cool?!!?

She is writing for kids! How amazing it is to have our kids growing up with this knowledge and the right tools to balance the nervous system!

Here's What I Want to Share This Week:

Your Point of Attraction Is About to Shift Completely!

I love this video from Esther Hicks! In just 14 minutes, you'll pump up your vibration so that you can begin your day aligned with what you want.

The Autobiography of Yogi

This is a book I think that everyone should read at least once in their life. I just finished reading it for the second time, but this time was a bit different. I felt I was having a conversation with the book! It felt like that for everything that was coming up for me in my life, the next page would hold the answers. I've found great inspiration here related to profound questions I've held about my own existence and place in the world.

Magical Chirripo, Costa Rica

I recently took a trip with my family and a few friends to my new favorite place in Costa Rica. Just the drive alone was extremely special. I could feel my mind slowing down, and the vibration going "wowwwwww". If you are looking for some time to connect with nature and with yourself, this would be a great place to consider booking a stay. The mountains here allow you to feel a sense of support that opens you to new possibilities and leaves you feeling unstoppable.
