026: The True Essence of Alignment

There I was, walking alongside the Saint Laurent river in Montreal during the early summer.

Emotions were swirling within me - fear, frustration, and even grief. I was feeling lost, questioning if I had made a grave mistake.

I had left a job that I genuinely enjoyed to venture into my own practice as a bioenergetics practitioner.

I had always believed that feeling what I perceived as negative emotions in this way meant I was not in sync with my aspirations and goals in life. However, perhaps due to the vulnerability I was experiencing in that moment, filled with pain and fear, I opened myself to a new insight.

A thought emerged in my mind, almost like a gentle invitation, suggesting a different approach.

What if I embraced all my emotions instead of resisting them? What if I allowed myself to just be, with all the feelings that came along?

Feeling good is wonderful.

For many years, my personal journey involved seeking methods to sustain positive feelings for as long as possible. However, when I failed to attain this state, I was often overwhelmed by frustration that quickly turned into guilt.

I learned that the key to manifesting my desires was to resonate with the frequency of my already fulfilled wishes and maintain that emotional state for as long as I could. It was about creating a vivid vision, locating the corresponding emotion, and connecting to it as frequently as possible.

For years, I did that and manifested a lot of cool stuff pretty quickly. However, with my understanding of manifestation, I held a belief about negative emotions that they were something to be avoided. Thus, my journey in seeking positive feelings became an ongoing work of pushing the negative away.

By doing that, I felt I was reaching out for alignment and, therefore, manifesting the life of my dreams.

I reached a point in my life where I felt satisfied with everything around me. However, trying to maintain the positive feelings and avoiding the negative wouldn't take me beyond that point.

For me, this is when the true adventure began.

As I took a deep breath and gathered myself down by the bank of the river,I sat down on the grass and I felt my body start to relax.

Tears began to stream down my face. I was alone, enveloped in a sense of safety as there was nobody around to witness my struggle. This allowed me to truly embrace my feelings. I surrendered to my fears, let frustration and anger course through me simultaneously. I gave myself permission to admit that I was utterly lost, that I really had no clue about what I was doing.

I'm not sure how long I remained there, but it was likely for more than an hour. During that time, I let go of numerous emotions that I, the "strong and aligned Carolina," had been suppressing for a considerable amount of time.

Let me tell you, this was one of the most transformative experiences I've ever had.

Do you wonder what lies beyond all the negative emotions?

It's your authentic self.

I felt invincible, and unstoppable in that moment, and all it required was for me to embrace all of my feelings.

Consequently, I no longer felt the need to make decisions based on avoiding negative emotions.

It takes a lot of confidence and courage to face your negative emotions.

I knew deep within that my dreams and vision weren't reliant on my constant state of positivity. In truth, they served as a guiding light, leading me towards the discovery of my true inner strength.

Through this process, I began to engage with life on a much deeper level, freeing myself to dream and tackle challenges from a fresh perspective.

I grasped the true essence of alignment, realizing that striving to feel good all the time essentially cuts life in half, and that was definitely not my goal.

Today, I aspire to embrace life in its entirety, at a full 100%, and to do this, I must also welcome the negative.

Now, I simultaneously experience contrasting emotions like sadness and happiness, or excitement and fear.

Have you had this experience before? Can you feel two contradictory emotions at the same time?

Yes, it is very possible.

By allowing life to flow through me, I find myself aligned. Life seems to move at a much faster pace, giving me the sensation of collapsing time.

I can feel magic taking hold every step of the way.

And in this way I allow my journey to continue, as life keeps expanding in ways beyond my imagination.

This, to me, is the essence of alignment.

With Love,

Carolina
