046: The Power of Self-Integration in Business

When I decided to leave my corporate job and become an entrepreneur, I had a very broad idea of what being an entrepreneur really meant.

Organically, I started building my clientele, and my days became filled with tasks related to my sessions and my development as a bioenergetic therapist.

Over time, I began taking new courses and certifications, and the original office setup no longer suited the lifestyle I wanted to experience.

With more courses, experiences, and knowledge, I no longer knew how to position myself in the market. It was extremely frustrating to explain to others what I did.

I couldn't integrate my being into how I served people. I defined myself by a technique and left aside everything that I truly am.

I fragmented myself using many different labels, and for several years, I couldn't express who I really was through my work. Interestingly, later on, people I crossed paths with faced the same challenge.

Highly qualified individuals with numerous certifications and rich life experiences struggled to define themselves in the entrepreneurial market due to the fragmented approach of who they were.

Even though in the marketing world, you may need to define yourself with a title or a name that describes what you do, in the energetic world the challenges that comes with this definition can create enormous blocks.

These blocks can manifest in different ways, including how you price your service, your ability to put yourself out there, and it can also harm your self-confidence.

During a recent consultation with a client facing the same challenges, that the following phrase came out of my mouth: "My work is me." It clicked in her brain like two puzzle pieces fitting together.

And she said, "Of course! I'm going to steal that phrase from you! That's what I do, I am my work"

She integrated it, and I further integrated the richness of serving the world with my talents. This newfound insight inspired me to write this newsletter.

Today, my title is Chief Energy Officer at Sacred Business, a title that arose as a joke with a client saying I was the CEO of the company, and that CEO meant this.

What do I do? I assist our clients in managing their own energy and rebalancing their nervous system, so they operate in a physiology of creativity rather than survival, allowing them to bring lightness and joy to the challenge of starting their own business or even expanding or redirecting what they already have.

But the most important thing isn't that, it's not my title or my job description; the most important thing is that I managed to integrate and connect my entire being, from certifications to my personal life experiences, into how I serve on this planet.

At different times, I attempted to define myself on my own. I watched online videos, observed what others were doing, and strived to discover who I was on this entrepreneurial journey. This was not just as a business owner, but also as a service provider.

However, it didn't quite work. I was over-explaining my business because the feeling of wholeness wasn't there. I wasn't giving enough importance to who I was, and I was giving way too much importance to what I was doing.

What really helped me gain clarity and a broader view of my talents was when I initially hired Phil as my business coach long before we became partners, and a large part of my journey as his client was seeing my own self-worth and the richness I brought with all my life experiences.

Through the eyes of someone else who holds you to a high standard, you can experience yourself in different ways. In my experience, I couldn't see or feel it on my own. It took a second person to reflect back to me all that I was, and very importantly, in his coaching, he offered me the structure that helped me express myself from that new space, including all of me, not just a list of techniques and certifications.

One of my teachers always says that who you are is more important than what you do. And the moment you accept that, that it's not your techniques or your certificates that make your business, you start operating in a new dimension.

In the dimension of inclusion, divine connection, and non-competitiveness, true self-connection happens.

Due to the immense value I got from this process, and the significant shift it catalyzed in my own self-perception, I've decided to share a summary of what helped me gain such insights. My hope is that this might assist you in gaining clarity about who you are, and how you can simply and clearly integrate your wholeness to how you serve in your business. So, here it is:

Start by creating a comprehensive list of all the things you've accomplished, experienced, and enjoyed. This includes your university degrees, the courses you've taken, places you've traveled, times of trauma and triumph, hobbies you love, past job experiences, and so on.

Next, write down all your inherent qualities or skills that you often take for granted. Are you a good listener, a problem solver, or perhaps, an innovative thinker? Reflect on these qualities and how they've played a role in your life.

Also, consider any feedback or compliments you've received over the years. What do people often appreciate or admire about you? Make note of these.

Reflect on the challenges you've overcome, and identify the skills and strengths that helped you through those times. These are part of your unique skill set too.

Reflect on the challenges you've overcome, and identify the skills and strengths that helped you through those times. These are part of your unique skill set too.

This exercise may not necessarily give you a title, but it can certainly provide enough clarity for that. The goal here is for you to start operating in a space of greater connection with yourself, to see the value of your experiences, and how they can help thousands of other people.

Remember that everything is connected, and if you can't see your own value, neither will others.

With Love,

Carolina

I want to take a moment to celebrate Phil Powis. As my business partner, and even before Sacred Business was formed, his guidance played a crucial role in helping me take aligned actions towards my sole business at the time.

Phil has provided an immense level of support and clarity, allowing me to stay focused and direct my efforts towards achieving my goals. His strategic mind works at a rapid pace, envisioning the future and adeptly figuring out how to get there. His contributions have been invaluable.

The Creative Act: A way of being

This book has been a source of immense inspiration, helping me to recognize my own magnificence as a creator. It enlightens on the understanding that the process of creation is a natural one, and we can let it flow with ease and tranquility. My takeaway so is the importance of balancing our 'doing' with 'being'.
